| "Her's a good teacher." This is the comment I heard while walking down the hall at school. While I appreciated the compliment, it did not do much for my confidence in the grammar/writing practice I have been doing with my fourth graders. Life is good. Love my job as a Title I teacher. So far I have been helping kids prepare for their state writing test on which is on Tuesday, but after that I will be focusing on Math with 4th grade (which is what I was hired to do, the writing bit was a cute little surprise). It is so good to have my husband home and for us to have a normal life which includes the most fun, loving, adorable puppy on the planet.

| Tank Bandi, sniffer extraordinaire!

| I was supposed to fly out last night to avoid any stress getting to my graduation on time. However, thanks to fog in Houston and stupidity in K-Town, I didn't end up leaving. I'm driving in with Matt today and I hope to make my graduation ceremony on time. Planning ahead doesn't always get you ahead. Hard lesson for me. Sincerely, Shanda B. Bandi, M.Ed | | |
| I'm bored. I'm so used to working and studying all the time that I don't know what to do with free time. Sure, the entire duration of this last year I would have given anything to space out in front of a good E! True Hollywood Story or The View. Now that I have the time, it's making me insane! I think Matt's feeling the boredom too. Yesterday our big event was napping. We had big holiday shopping plans and they were shot to hell by a cozy three hour nap. Our determined gym plan deteriorated as well due to an intense desire for Hamburger Helper. Hopefully today will be a better day. I graduate on Friday! I'm so excited. My thesis/project was approved with no corrections or revisions. The best part is that Matt will be there to watch me graduate. He pointed out that he will have made 2 out of 3 of my graduations, but I don't think high school counts since he had to be there. We'll be in OKC for a short time for graduation and Hanukkah and then we'll be bringing the Bandi siblings back to K-Town for a few days as we pack for Europe. We will then return to OKC for Christmas and then we will finally embark on our long awaited 12 days in Europe. That will be awesome. Hopefully we will return refreshed and rejuvenated. We both need that. See you all soon! | | |
| He's back! Matt is home safely from his year long tour in Iraq. We are most certainly enjoying our time together. It's been a long, challenging year and we are both very blessed he is back home. | | |
